Furry Fridays: Bella at Great Plains SPCA

If you’ve been lacking in snuggles lately, this sweet kitty is coming to your rescue.

Certified cuddlebug Bella has spent the past 8 years of her life filling the hearts of anyone she meets with love. It’s no surprise that her name means beautiful—just look at those gorgeous green eyes! Bella is known to be a shy sweetie whose mellow personality is perfectly suited for any family looking for a low-key pet. As long as you supply the treats and chin scratches, she’ll be the happiest kitty alive, not to mention the perfect best friend. If you’re looking for your very own furry companion, visit greatplainsspca.org/adopt to see all of our adoptables.

Can’t adopt a pet but still want to support local animals in need? The Young Professionals Board at Great Plains SPCA is hosting its first-ever Pup Crawl, a dog-friendly event featuring stops at some of Waldo’s favorite watering holes where you’ll have the chance to win awesome raffle prizes and enjoy amazing drink specials. Join the fun Saturday, July 9th as they raise their glasses in support of the 35,000 pets served at Great Plains SPCA every year. The Pup Crawl goes from 1-5 p.m. with an after-party at Kansas City Bier Company. Learn more about the event and register at www.greatplainsspca.org. —Megan Doolittle
