We’ll drink to these upcoming dinners, festivals and events where you can enjoy local food and libations.

How do you make J. Rieger & Co. cocktails even more enticing? Pair them with four courses from Pig & Finch. The restaurant is hosting a dinner showcasing the local distillery’s craft spirits July 13th for $75. On the menu are stuffed tempura-fried squash blossoms, onion ash-seared ahi tuna with coconut couscous and roasted breast of lamb as well as three cocktails.

The same day across town Il Lazzarone pairs five Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits creations with dishes such as fried sweetbreads with Parmesan and sunchoke ravioli, porchetta and rosemary honey panacotta for $75.

Rich foods come with an affordable price tag at Charisse’s July 14th Prime Rib & Salmon Dinner. The $45 meal includes prime rib, salmon, grilled veggies, escargot, and crème brulee as well as wines and a cocktail made from J. Rieger & Co. and Boulevard Brewing’s sprits collab, Left for Dead.

Stockyards Brewing Co. celebrates its ribbon cutting in the former site of KC landmark The Golden Ox with an open house July 15-16. The brewery opens at noon both days and tours are available 1-5 p.m. Saturday to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the new space.

Keep cool with ice cream floats made using Cinder Block Brewery beer and Betty Rae’s ice cream noon-5 p.m. July 16th at the brewery’s taproom. If you’re craving something savory, enjoy Cinder Block beers alongside five of Anton’s Taproom’s locally sourced dishes at a July 21st pairing dinner. In addition to good eats and drinks, the evening will include live music and insight into the pairings from the restaurant’s owner, Anton Kotar, and Cinder Block Director of Brewing Operations Bryan Buckingham. Sixty seats are available for $60 each.

Say cheese—that’s what Ça Va will be doing July 23rd as it collaborates with Green Dirt Farm for a special cheese appreciation event ($85) at the Westport spot. Enhance your knowledge of sparkling wine and cheese as you sample four 3-ounce pours and four courses of small plates highlighting GDF cheese. Can’t get enough? Tickets are still available for select events at Green Dirt’s Weston farm.

Chipotle’s Cultivate Festival returns for its second year at Penn Valley Park July 23, and Boulevard Brewing Company is once again serving up a beer exclusive to the festival. The Mexican-style lager is a collaboration between Boulevard, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. and Cigar City Brewing and will be available along with a lineup of other locally produced beers and wines in the Tasting Hall. Cultivate also features drinks and dishes from Chipotle-owned restaurants and local spots, performances and cooking demos from celeb chefs.

Nanobrews are the star of the show at the 2016 KC Nanobrew Festival at Berkley Riverfront Park July 30, dedicated solely to local home brewing. For the $35 cost of admission, attendees get access to unlimited tastings of more than 100 home-brewed beers, plus a full sized souvenir glass.
