Furry Fridays: Sammie at Great Plains SPCA

If you’ve been searching for that perfect ball of fluff, then look no further—Sammie is ready to make your “Man’s Best Friend” dreams come true!

At 3 years old, this outgoing Border Collie mix is full of energy and is just waiting for a “furever” family to go on adventures with. Whether your running, biking or hiking, she’s your girl! Sammie has been known to be quite the social butterfly and loves to interact with people. She would thrive in a family of any size, as long as it’s one with a whole lot of love to give. Meet Sammie today at Great Plains SPCA’s Merriam Campus.

Can’t adopt a pet but still want to support local animals in need? The Young Professionals Board at Great Plains SPCA is hosting its first-ever Pup Crawl, a dog-friendly event featuring stops at some of Waldo’s favorite watering holes where you’ll have the chance to win awesome raffle prizes and enjoy amazing drink specials. Join the fun Saturday, July 9th as they raise their glasses in support of the 35,000 pets served at Great Plains SPCA every year. The Pup Crawl goes from 1-5 p.m. with an after-party at Kansas City Bier Company. Learn more about the event and register at www.greatplainsspca.org. —Megan Doolittle
