Kid Stuff

Just when you thought the kids in your life couldn’t get any cuter, along comes Hand & Land.

The store carries an array of thoughtfully crafted goodies for little ones (and their parents), including these picks we love.

Sorella Studios, based in New York City and Kansas City, started producing these handmade leather moccasins ($49 per pair) when one of the owners was having trouble finding shoes that were both stylish and easy to walk in for her 15-month-old. Available in a variety of colors, each adorable pair is handmade from genuine leather and designed to fit snuggly around the child’s foot. A comfy elastic band around the ankle keeps them from falling off.

This lizard-print onesie ($42) and hat ($24) don’t just look good. Produced by luxury baby and kids’ brand luckpalmtree, the ensemble features 100 percent certified organic cotton and 100 percent cotton thread, plus fabric is printed in the U.S. using only non-toxic, water-based ink.

Non-toxic art materials are nothing new, but the creative play materials from Eco-Kids take it a step further. The company’s Eco-Crayons ($10) are made with natural wax and mineral pigments and come in earthy colors shaped to emulate the look of sea rocks. Its Eco-Dough ($20) contains all-natural ingredients, including plant, fruit and vegetable extracts as well as essential oils. Both are non-toxic and come in environmentally friendly packaging.
