KC is home to two of the top ranked museums in the nation, according to a new list from Yelp.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art came out on top in Yelp’s new list of the country’s top-ranked museums. To create the list, Yelp ranked business categorized as museums based on the number of reviews and overall star rating, according to USA Today, which published Yelp’s findings.
The Nelson-Atkins has a five-star rating with 237 reviews, many of which praise the museum’s diverse collection, sculpture garden and free admission. The National World War I Museum and Memorial came in at No. 5 on Yelp’s list, boasting a five-star ranking and 136 reviews, with posters noting its comprehensive look at World War I and Liberty Memorial.
The ranking is the latest accomplishment during the WWI Museum’s banner year; last month, it announced the attendance record, set last year, had already been broken.
