The Bloch School of Management announces the recipients for this year’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
The Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management will honor The Roasterie’s Danny O’Neill and Water.org co-founder and CEO Gary White at its 30th Annual Entrepreneur of the Year Awards celebration.
O’Neill will receive the Regional Entrepreneur of the Year Award. White, whose organization has driven innovation in the way water and sanitation projects are delivered and financed, serving more than 3 million people by the end of 2014, will receive the John and Marion Kreamer Award for Social Entrepreneurship.
The awards will be presented on Monday, Nov. 16 at the Kansas City Convention Center, Grand Ballroom. A Student Venture Showcase begins at 6 p.m. with dinner immediately following at 7 p.m., where a Student Entrepreneur of the Year also announced. The winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship.
Proceeds from the EOY Awards benefit the Bloch School’s Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Money raised from previous dinners has supported the creation of innovative new programs such as Summer Scholars and Vets2Ventures.

Events open to the public include coffee with O’Neill 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, the Women in Entrepreneurship Panel 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 and the Arts and Entrepreneurship Showcase 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, all at the Henry W.
