KC Seen: TEDxKC 2015

Aug. 29, the seventh annual TEDxKC event attracted KC thinkers to the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts for an explosion of color, creativity and enthusiasm about all things art, tech, expression and performance.

The theme of this year’s event was “RE:Imagine,” and organizers prompted those in attendance to open their minds and hearts to “see the world as it isn’t” with an emphasis on progression and hope in the modern world.

New perspectives were shared about a wide variety of topics, including space exploration, equality, new technologies for disaster zones, science, physical triumphs, cancer treatment and much more.

TEDxKC attendees experienced engagements by speakers and performers like Olympic figure skater and cancer activist Scott Hamilton, Hubble Telescope engineer Zoltan Levay, KC musicians Barclay Martin Ensemble and author Martin Pistorious.
