Stash your stuff in one of these locally made carryalls.

Will Baldwin’s new KC tote ($64), created in collaboration with socially conscious LA-based lifestyle company Apolis, become as ubiquitous as its KC hats? Smart money says yes, especially when you consider the bag’s refined design: a jute tote with over-the-shoulder straps, each is handcrafted and features waterproof lining and natural leather straps.

Ampersand Design Studio has crafted two ways to tote your hometown pride. There’s the black Plaza Kansas City canvas tote with gold hot foil, perfect for a trip to the gym or the farmers’ market, and its appropriately artsy Crossroads cousin (both $42.50). The natural canvas bag features a handpainted background pattern and a handmade chunky yarn tassel that plays off of the bag’s pattern.

Out of Print totes are our kind of book bags. They pay tribute to literary classics such as “Moby Dick” and “Pride and Prejudice” and the act of reading with library card and banned books styles, all of which are carried at Brookside Betty’s ($18-$20). A bonus for book lovers: for each of the company’s products sold, one book is donated to a community in need through Books for Africa.

Frankly Basic has team spirit. Opt for the I “Heart” KC Tote ($5) with an arrowhead enclosed in the heart to rep your Chiefs pride while running errands.

Roomy and crafted with love, Dolyn Bags’s classic tote, offered in soft black or merlot with antique brass or nickel hardware, might lead you to neglect your other purses. We wouldn’t blame you: Each bag from KC designer Ami Beck is handmade using cowhide leather and is one of a kind.

By now you’ve probably already snagged one of Sandlot Goods’ Made in KC Totes, but the hometown company now has a few more bags you’ll want to bring home. Its Waxed Tote in tan or charcoal ($98) is sturdy enough to carry everywhere, and the Tall Field Tote ($580) is sophisticated without sacrificing a hint of practicality: The leather bag is 15 inches tall and 14 inches wide with a deep outside pocket for items you need to grab or tuck away while on the go.
