There’s been lots of news lately about creative, inventive, smart and sensitive kids living in Kansas City, but creating buzz well outside the city limits.
Who’s making the news? Our friend Zach Hofen, who recently appeared on The Food Network. The crafty art of cuisine didn’t stop with Zach though, as Jasmine Dulan, the daughter of a nutritionist in Leawood also took a trip to the White House to show First Lady Michelle Obama her healthy recipe at a special dinner.
There’s animal-lover turned author Kamden Ricklefs who used Kickstarter to fund a book about turtle adventures in loving tribute.
We also got a chance to chat with local inventor Ted Brull, who designed a new device based on a common problem faced by DIY enthusiasts and makers all over the world.
We also can’t forget about recent internet phenomenon Morgan Ciocca, who created a portrait of human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, which quickly went viral and even got a personal response back from her subject!
Finally, who can forget local rising star on the stage, Gracie Schram? She’s been showing up at performances all over the country, but still has time to sing the National Anthem during a Royals game at The K.
