Not familiar with the Negroni? It’s time to change that.
Monday, June 1 through Sunday, June 7, bars across the world are serving up variations of the drink, traditionally made with gin, vermouth and Campari and garnished with an orange peel, for Negroni Week and donating a portion of proceeds to the charity of their choice.
Never a city to miss a reason to drink or give back to worthy causes, KC is, of course, in on the festivities, which are sponsored by Imbibe Magazine and Campari. And this year, loads of bars and restaurants are participating.
Newport Grill, 801 Chophouse, Grand Street Café, Rye, Nick and Jake’s, Room 39, Bar Rosso, Jax Fish House, Cleaver & Cork, Lidia’s, Barrel 31, Julep, La Bodega, Summit Bar & Grill, Zocalo, Bluestem, Tannin, Salty Iguana, The American, Local Pig, Thou Mayest, JJ’s Restaurant and many others are raising money for Newhouse Shelter, which provides shelter and services for domestic violence survivors. Affäre is donating its proceeds to Academia Lafayette while Minsky’s and Osteria IL Centro named March of Dimes as their beneficiary.
