Hungry for something special? Chances are you’ll find it over the next few weeks in KC. 

Renowned chef Gina Stipo is visiting Jasper’s Thursday, April 9 for a dinner featuring traditional Italian dishes with Tuscan flair, including ravioli with ricotta and asparagus, roasted lamb with Tuscan herbs, spring vegetables and broad bean puree and Nutella crepes with Grand Marnier and oranges for dessert. Chef Stipo will also host a cooking demonstration 6 – 9 p.m. April 10 at a Thyme for Everything, blending history culture and cuisine.

American Master of Wine and Master Sommelier Doug Frost is joining forces with Michael Smith to present a celebration of Portugal through wine and food. The six-course dinner Wednesday, April 29 starts with fritto misto soft-shell crab and Mapreco Vinho Verde 2013 and only gets better.

Cheese, please! There are still a few seats left at Green Dirt Farm’s collaborative dinner with Terra Vox on April 11, where The Farmhouse’s Michael Foust will be preparing five courses right in front of diners, each paired with one of Terra Vox’s local wines.


There’s never a dull moment for Megan and Colby Garrelts. The couple’s new cookbook will be released this weekend and culinary duo is hosting a dinner to celebrate it Tuesday, April 14 at Rye highlighting featured recipes. We hope they’re well rested: The day before, they’ll be sharing the kitchen at Bluestem with Café Sebastienne’s Jennifer Maloney for the latest installment of the Westport Collaborative Series.

Joe West, executive chef at 801 Fish, is branching out with a new pop-up restaurant inspired by his multicultural background. Kusshi is hosting its first event May 3 at The Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange. The five-course dinner includes complimentary wine.
