What’s New At Your Favorite Restaurants

Ready to try something new? Step right up and sample the latest dishes from restaurants around town.

RA Sushi is turning up the heat in Park Place with the sriracha, spicy mayo and tuna-topped Red Heart Roll and the Chili Garlic Shrimp, two additions to the menu. Our favorite new item is the tempura sweet potato-stuffed Crunchy Yami Roll. A bit unconventional? Yes. Delicious? Also yes. Other offerings include a refreshing King Crab Salad, seared ahi tuna and three cocktails. Plus every Tuesday this month from 3 p.m. to close, Viva Las Vegas Rolls are two-for-one.

You can never have too many brunch options, so add one more to your list: CocoBolos. The restaurant just introduced everyone’s favorite meal with a menu that includes $14 bottomless mimosas made with fresh orange, grapefruit, cranberry or peach juice, short rib hash, blue corn meal pancakes with sugar cured bacon and Corn Flake-crusted French toast stuffed with cream cheese and strawberries.

Stop by Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop and its sister restaurant, Lulu’s Asian Bistro, 4 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday and any time Sunday for a tasty small plate from the 4.5.6 menu, which includes items like Chinese Roasted BBQ Pork Sliders and Sweet Potato Wontons.

Not even a series of confusing streetcar construction detours could keep us from checking out the new lunch dishes at The Farmhouse. Sweet potato soup with toasted pecans and chickpea fritters make appearances on the starter menu, while the entrée offerings feature apple cider smoked pork loin, chicken parm and a mouth-watering local, grass-finished burger in addition to its ever-changing and always delicious lineup of specials.

Fans of Urban Table have not one but two revamped menus to try. For lunch, sample one of the hearty sandwiches or opt for the Udon Bowl loaded with veggies, perfect for taking the chill of a cold winter day. Brunching? The oatmeal pancakes come with your choice of toppings, which include options such as apple butter and bourbon caramel.
