Port Fonda earned a spot on Food & Wine’s “Best Bars in America” list, thanks to its extensive tequila and mescal offerings, while Joe’s Kansas City’s beloved Z-Man made an appearance on Men’s Journal’s list of the nation’s 50 best sandwiches. It’s far from the first time that either restaurant received national attention. Port Fonda’s Patrick Ryan was in the running for Food & Wine’s People’s Best New Chef: Midwest award last year, and Kansas City Joe’s has been highlighted many times, earning the best ribs title from USA Today, our 2014 City’s Best Award for barbecue and a shout out from Jimmy Kimmel.
