Let the KC Zoo come to you this weekend at the Museum of Prairiefire.
Lions, tigers, and bears – oh, my! Take your tots to Prairiefire this Saturday for the chance to learn about these animals and more when the Kansas City Zoo’s Zoomobile makes an appearance Museum at Prairiefire in Overland Park. The programs take place from 2-4 p.m. on select Saturdays in February and March in the main hall of the museum. After each presentation, the Zoomobile will set up a booth where visitors can find out biofacts about the featured animals, information about the zoo, and possibly even meet some animal ambassadors. Parrots, boa constrictors, poisonous dart frogs and other rainforest critters are on the agenda when the series kicks off this weekend (Feb. 7) with Amazon Animal Tales. Future programs include: African Animal Tales on Feb. 14; Reptile Animal Tales on Feb. 21 and Mammals Animal Tales on March 7.
