Kick Off Super Bowl Sunday At These Spots

February is kicking off with Super Bowl Sunday.

Even though our beloved Chiefs aren’t playing for the title this year, we’re excited to watch in the spirit of family, friends, food and football. Whether you watch for your love of the game, or just to see Budweiser’s new tear-inducing puppy commercial, you can celebrate the day with one of these great specials.

Going Out

Enjoy a game day classic with a twist at CocoBolos’ chili cook-off. Watch the big game while you try six different chilies prepared by the restaurant’s culinary team, then vote on your favorite.

Have a large group that wants to enjoy Super Bowl Sunday together? Make a table reservation at McFadden’s Sports Saloon for $100 and get two beer towers, a bottle of cinnamon whiskey, nachos and 50 wings.

Charlie Hooper’s is bringing you specials on Mexican beers and three tacos for $2.50, plus giveaways up to $500.

Nothing screams Super Bowl like hot wings, so eat your fill of the 75-cent wings at The Granfalloon, which also has specials on Boulevard and Corona brews

From 3 p.m. to close at Summit Bar & Grill, take advantage of happy hour specials like domestic draft and bottle beers for $2, well drinks for $3 and other drink specials. Pair it with wings for $4, spinach and artichoke dip for $5 or Parmesan fries with truffle aioli for $3.

Patriots or Seahawks fan? Stop by The Well wearing your gear and receive $2 off Sunday brunch. If you’re a diehard Chiefs fan, head over to enjoy the bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary bar.

Hosting At Home

Maintain your KC credibility regardless of where your allegiance lies during the game by feeding family and friends a heaping helping of barbecue. Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que is closed Sunday, but spending a day in the fridge won’t have any impact on how tasty your food is, and Jack Stack offers carryout buffets loaded with meat and sides to accommodate groups big and small.

Try ordering a fan-favorite: Minksy’s pizza. Not only is it offering football shaped pizzas, but also $14.39 gourmet pizzas, $13.67 two-topping pizzas and $8 jumbo wings.

BYOB? Try BYOT. Accepting orders now through Sunday, Zocalo is offering a “Build Your Own Taco” bar that you can order and pick up for your personal watch party. The regular size (10-12 tacos and 2 sides) is available for $30 and the large size (20-22 tacos and 3 sides) is available for $55.

Keep up your New Year’s resolution to eat healthy with t.Loft’s “Game Day Protein Package.” For $70, you’ll munch on 10 protein balls and spicy buffalo quinoa bake, which serves eight to 10 guests.
