Holiday Cheer Comes to KC Early

Kansas City won’t let the calendar hold it back from gearing up for the holiday season.

Get a first taste of holiday cheer with The Coterie’s production of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” running now through January 4. “What makes you different is what makes you special” in this heartwarming musical featuring Rudolph, Hermey the Elf and other beloved characters from the movie. Every age—misfits or not—will enjoy watching the blinking-nosed reindeer save Christmas.

 

Kansas City’s only public outdoor ice skating rink opens at Crown Center for its 42nd season of great skating fun. Enjoy free skating, coffee and hot chocolate from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on opening day, November 7! Regular admission is $6, or free for adults over 60 and children 4 and under. Skate rental is $3, or skaters may bring their own. Don’t’ worry if you’re not ready to hit the ice just yet—the rink stays open through March.
