Honey Cinnamon Syrup
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 1⁄2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1⁄2 cup honey
Combine the first three ingredients in a saucepan and bring mixture to a rolling boil. Sustain the boiling for eight minutes to reduce to syrup. Remove from heat then mix in honey.
This syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for three months and can be added to brewed coffee or hot tea. For a 12-ounce beverage, use one ounce of syrup.
*Those with home espresso machines should use a double shot of espresso, 10 ounces of steamed milk and one ounce of honey cinnamon syrup.
