Kansas City’s got style.
Everyday, fashionable people flood our social media feeds with street style outfits, so we’ve taken a look around KC to see what trends and styles are being worn close to home. Designer and stylist Rachael Heslop caught our attention with her bold pink top paired with slouchy navy trousers.
Q: Tell us about what you’re wearing.
A: Sugarlips cut-out-sleeve top, Forever 21 pants and BCBG gladiator sandals.
Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: Most days I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, but I don’t necessarily limit myself to one style. I like to mix classic pieces with trendy ones, masculine and feminine, and dress up the basics with a single piece that makes a statement. I think unexpected pairings make an outfit interesting and memorable.
Q: What are some are your favorite Kansas City shops?
A: I love Frankly Basic and Standard Style. They’re both impeccably curated with a great mix of designer and affordable brands and unique jewelry. I also like The Coveted Home, Hello Sailor and Utilitarian Workshop for home goods or handmade items from local artists.
