HCA Midwest Health System announces name change and new logo.
Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider is getting a makeover. HCA Midwest Health System announced the company will shorten its name to HCA Midwest Health and will be recognized with a new logo.
“At HCA Midwest Health, we are more than buildings and doctors,” says CEO Mel Lagarde. “As Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider and one of the area’s largest private sector employers, we are comprised of thousands of compassionate, caring professionals dedicated to providing patients the highest quality of care in their greatest hour of need.”
Consisting of hospitals, outpatient centers, clinics, physician practices, surgery centers and more, HCA Midwest Health employs more than 9,000 people and ranks No. 2 on the Top Private-Sector Employers List.
“Whether it is cancer screenings, concussion education classes or breastfeeding support, we are deeply committed to empowering and keeping our community well,” Lagarde adds.
HCA Midwest Health’s facilities have also been the recipients of numerous awards, including a 2012 General Thoracic Surgery 3-Star Quality Rating at Centerpoint Medical Center, a Missouri Quality Award at Research Psychiatric Center and a Women’s Choice Award for Emergency Care at Lafayette Regional Health Center.
