3 Quick and Healthy Recipes for Fruit Smoothies

Refuel with a refreshing drink loaded with healthy fruits.

Simple and quick to make, these smoothies will help you satisfy your sweet tooth while cooling down.

Classic Blueberry Mango Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup mango chunks
  • 1/4 cup vanilla soy milk, almond milk, skim milk, or water
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup ice chips, optional

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and puree until smooth. Refrigerate until drink is desired temperature. If you want to drink immediately, simply add 1/4 cup ice chips to the ingredients. Makes two servings.

Fruit Power Smoothie

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 8-ounce container peach yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (not from concentrate)

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and puree until smooth. Refrigerate until drink is desired temperature. Makes four servings.

Green Power Machine

  • 1/2 cup apple, peeled, cored, & chopped
  • 4 kale leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped mango
  • 6 romaine leaves chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley sprigs
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of water

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and puree until smooth. Refrigerate until drink is desired temperature. Makes two servings.
