Not familiar with the Negroni? It’s time to change that.
Now through Sunday, bars across the world are serving up variations of the drink, which is traditionally made with gin, sweet vermouth and Campari and garnished with an orange peel, for Negroni Week and donating a portion of proceeds to the charity of their choice.
Never a city to miss a reason to drink or give, KC is of course in on the festivities, which are sponsored by Imbibe Magazine and Campari. Snow & Co. and Jasper’s Negronis will be raising money for the American Cancer Society while Cornerstones of Care will benefit from drinks at Barrel 31, The Drop and Zocalo.
Many spots are donating to CCVI, including Extra Virgin, Michael Smith, Julep, The American Restaurant, The Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange, Voltaire and Westport Café.
