USA Today’s 10Best travel section recently turned its attention to Kansas City’s food scene, naming the metro’s 10 restaurants with the most appeal and best reputations.
Bluestem came out on top, followed by the American Restaurant, Justus Drugstore and Story. Michael Smith nabbed the No. 5 position, while Piropos came in at 6 and the Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange ranked at No. 7, and The Farmhouse, Port Fonda and Avenues Bistro rounded out the top 10.
Noticeably missing from the list? One of the many stellar barbecue joints. But we did receive some love from Travel + Leisure reader’s, which voted KC as the No. 3 city in America when it comes to barbecue. Arthur Bryant’s, Gates Bar-B-Q and Oklahoma Joe’s all scored a mention.
