Three Dog Bakery Says, “Let Them Eat Cake.”

The handmade treats at Three Dog Bakery really gives them something to bark about.

When you first walk into Three Dog Bakery, you may think you’ve stumbled into an ordinary pastry shop, but this canine-centric bakery opened its doors almost three decades ago.

Three Dog Bakery has long been a favorite among Kansas City pets and their owners, serving wholesome, all-natural dog treats and food that look delicious enough for humans to eat. (And you can, although your taste buds might be a little more discerning than those of man’s best friend.)

Several months ahead of its 25th anniversary, Three Dog Bakery has been acquired by a group of investors led by Aziz Giga and Barkley Executive VP and Millennial marketing expert Jeff Fromm.

The bakery will stay true to the recipes that made it so innovative when it opened as Kansas City’s first bakery for dogs. All doggie desserts and food will continue to be made in the USA with 100 percent all-natural ingredients. Three Dog Bakery faithfuls can expect the same quality and selection of the products they’ve come to love, but should look forward to the addition of new doggie dessert treats in the years ahead.

On June 21st, bring in your pet for “Bark-Day,” where both you and your furry friend can enjoy cake and ice cream, in both human and canine varieties, of course. – Kathryn Greene
