Stroud’s Adds Lunch to the Menu

Can’t get enough of Stroud’s? Now you have more chances to make it in for a meal.

Starting this week, the home of truly legendary pan-fried chicken is serving lunch on weekdays at its Fairway location. The menu features smaller portions of favorites like livers and gizzards, chicken fried steak and chicken noodle soup as well as a pan-fried or grilled chicken sandwich, a hamburger, a country chicken salad or a soup and salad combo.

Each entrée and sandwich comes with a delicious cinnamon roll, and sides include the ever-popular mashed potatoes, cottage fries, green beans, chicken noodle soup or applesauce. Daily lunch specials, such as chicken pot pie, pot roast and fried pork chops, will be coming later this month.

Getting hungry? Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and the regular menu is available for lunch diners on weekends. And if you head over soon, you’ll walk away with more than a tasty meal. In honor of the restaurant’s 80th anniversary, lunch orders come with a free commemorative t-shirt throughout May (as if you needed extra incentive).
