Dress in your Sunday best for “Dressed to the Nines,” a partnership between the Kansas City Royals and the Negro League Baseball Museum.
It’s a tribute to when fans used to dress in wide-brimmed hats and fancy frocks, fedoras and suits to watch the Negro League games. Even the players will get in spirit: the Royals will wear Monarchs jerseys from the 1920s and the Baltimore Orioles will don Black Sox uniforms from the same era.
Tickets for the 1:10 p.m. game range from $15 to $25, and part of the proceeds will go to the museum. The first 10,000 fans will receive a Kansas City Monarchs fedora, so look sharp and visit royals.com/nlbm for details.
