The KC coffee company is being rebranded with a new name and look.
St. Louis-based Kaldi’s Coffee Roasting Co. is coming to Kansas City in a big way, transitioning LattéLand’s six area locations into Kaldi’s Coffee.
The first remodeled shop opened earlier this week on the Country Club Plaza, featuring a clean, modern design and a focus on hand-brewed, small batch coffees. An additional Plaza location is set to make the change soon, followed by the other four stores in Prairie Village, the Power & Light District, Zona Rosa and Briarcliff.

“The name and look will change, but the relationship, coffee tradition, technically excellent baristas, and fanatical approach to quality, customer experience and atmosphere will remain,” said Marcus Boni, vice president of retail operations and marketing of Kaldi’s, which acquired LattéLand last year.
The company also operates a new Regional Training Community Coffee Center in River Market, where baristas can hone their skills and get acquainted with the super state-of-the-art Black Eagle espresso machines, one of the first to come off the production line.
