If you have an appetite for elevated bar food and all-American beers, get ready to discover your new go-to spot.
Westport Ale House, the new bar and restaurant from Zach Marten and Bret Springs, owners of Coal Vines on the Country Club Plaza, is set to open Friday in the former home of Streetside Records.
With 20 TVs, three 10-foot HD projectors and a menu of hamburgers, hot dogs, brats and sandwiches that Marten describes as “bar food done right,” the Ale House has the feel of a sports bar and serves only American beers, available on tap or in cans (sorry, bottled beer fans).
“It’s kind of a throwback,” he adds. “We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel at all.”
