The boutique-style outlet is celebrating with big giveaways this weekend.

The weekend forecast is predicting that the Kansas City area will soon return to winter wonderland—but if you’re ready to shake off the chill and look forward to the warmer days, maybe a little retail therapy is in order. Mode, a locally owned boutique-style outlet in Overland Park’s Corbin Park development, is now officially open for business. The shop calls itself  “the home of the $40 designer jean,” but this weekend Mode is celebrating its grand opening by giving away 40 pairs of jeans from designers such as James, Sinclair and Grace to the first 40 people through the door on Sat., March 1, and again on Sun., March 2. Sounds like a pretty good reason to brave the wintry weather to us.
