Business TV has Your Business Covered

Financial news? Looking for investment opportunities? Hoping to gain exposure for your business? Business TV (BTV) has you covered.

BTV is a half-hour weekly program that features business news and in-depth profiles of companies across Canada and the U.S. The show is hosted by BTV CEO Taylor Thoen, one of PROFIT W100 Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs in 2011. Thoen says the show aims “to bring investors information for their portfolio and insight on companies” and can provide “sector-specific market commentary.”

Company profiles offer insight on emerging businesses and include on-location interviews with CEOs and other key executives, essentially acting as a marketing tool for the featured company. In fact, companies can retain marketing rights to the profiles and may utilize footage to provide continued exposure for their product or service.

Many companies use the [profiles] as a marketing tool for use at trade shows, to help inform investors about a company … [or] for the sales team as a tool to help explain the company,” Thoen says. The business can also benefit from being featured in 90-second clips produced by BTV, which are then shared with financial portals and media outlets.

BTV is currently booking features for their upcoming season, which airs in early 2014. To have your business profiled on BTV, simply fill out the “Feature Your Company” section on the BTV website, b-tv.com. Featured companies can expect to spend anywhere from a half day to a full day with BTV crew members on site while they conduct interviews and collect footage.

BTV airs weekly on several Canadian and American networks, including Fox Business News on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. CST. Current and past episodes of BTV are available anytime at b-tv.com under “Watch the Show.”
