2015 Rising Stars of Kansas City: Sarah Schiltz

Tax manager at MarksNelson

We aren’t the only ones to notice Sarah Schiltz’s star power. She was one of only 20 tax and accounting professionals in the United States to be selected for the 2014 class of the Emerging Leaders Program administered by global powerhouse Wolters Kluwer.

The honor was no surprise to Schiltz’s coworkers, who respect her ability to think proactively, willingness to collaborate on strategic solutions and dedication to her fellow professionals. In fact, the congenial tax manager is so highly sought after in MarksNelson’s mentoring program, the company had to limit those relationships due to the demands on her time. Schiltz proudly represents her firm and industry as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas and Missouri Board of CPAs. She is also active in the community, as evidenced by her position as president of the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City.
