Founder of Lucia Aerial Arts
Jennifer “Jenny” Prohaska is a forensic psychologist by day and an aerial performance studio owner by night. In between? She runs a lip balm company.
Her list of accomplishments is amazing, says Carol Webb of the University of Kansas Physicians. In 2012, Prohaska graduated from the University of Kansas with a doctorate in clinical psychology, specializing in preventative health and promoting healthy behaviors in youth and adults.
In 2013, she founded Lucia Aerial Arts, leaving Quixotic School of Performing Arts to strike out on her own. In 2014, she restarted her lip balm business, Pin Up Girl, which had gone dormant while she was completing her doctorate.
But it is in the aerial arts studio where Prohaska is making the most strides. Her main focus is for her students to meet their individual goals and become the best artists they can be. Webb says that Lucia instills respect for all others. It teaches people how to improve themselves in the healthiest of ways by teaching new skills, which leads to confidence that everyone needs in their daily lives.
