December 7th – 24th, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
We’ll admit it. One of the best reasons to attend the Kansas City Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” is seeing the tiny ballerinas-in-training alternately wriggling in their seats and staring in rapture at the dancers—when you can take your eyes off the mesmerizing costumes, staging and performers, that is. Todd Bolender’s ballet, set to Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music, is one of Kansas City’s most endearing holiday traditions.
Make it even more memorable by having photos taken with one of the characters an hour before and immediately after each performance in the Kauffman Center’s Brandmeyer Great Hall. The cost benefits Kansas City Ballet School.
