It could be just the thing for the man looking for a strong statement delivered through subtle notes.
Having successfully launched a men’s ready-to-wear line, this month sees Maier team up with scentmakers Daniela Andrier and Antoine Maisondieu on the label’s first men’s fragrance, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme.
The brand and Pour Homme are similar in that they now have a strong vision and identity. “My idea was based on a journey of a man leaving the Veneto region towards the North, to the Dolomites,” says Maier of the scent. To that end you’ll find a fragrance infused with outdoorsy notes of Siberian pine, Balkan juniper and Canadian fir, warmed up with Calabrian bergamot and Jamaican pepper and finished off with Andalucian labadanum, leather and Indonesian patchouli.”
Patchouli means fall is definitely here. It’s always better that way – just a tease of it in some crisp fall air, rather than a face full of it from an errant passerby in the summer haze.
Pour Homme is available exclusively in Kansas City at Nordstrom department store.
