A joint venture among animal health-focused companies brings a new document management solution to the KC Animal Health Corridor.
A joint venture between Vet-Advantage magazine, Focus Technology Group (FTG) and NoteStreamer has incorporated in Missouri and officially launched its new document management solution for the animal health industry. It will select a permanent location in the KC Animal Health Corridor next year.
VAM CONNECT is a mobile and Web-based document management platform that allows manufacturers and distributors to post literature, promotional flyers, videos, HTML5 documents and support materials to a centralized industry database.
“Taking cues from solutions like Drop Box and Google Drive, we have built an industry solution that solves the needs of both manufacturers and distributors that will drive efficiencies and take costs out of the supply chain,” says Jimmy Haverstick with VAM CONNECT. “We also recognize the need for the data to be secure, and have made significant investments in that regard.”
VAM CONNECT’s technology runs on both Android and Apple devices with Windows 8 coming soon. “Many companies have moved to a tablet or smart phone detailing environment, where instant access to digital documents help them better serve their veterinarian customers,” says Chris Kelly with VAM CONNECT.
Both manufacturers and distributors are currently contracting for the service and are actively getting ready for a hard launch this fall. “We believe the CONNECT platform will save a distributor rep four to six hours per week managing literature and literature requests, while allowing manufacturers to significantly reduce their printing costs,” Kelly says. “An added benefit is the ability to accurately measure materials use and better project their return on investment.”
