The City’s Best Happy Hour wasn’t easy to pick, but a small majority of our readers picked this unique Spanish tapas bar, and with good reason.
Happy hour is an invented period of time, a marketing term, kind of like Valentine’s Day without the cards, flowers and chocolate. Better still, it’s a time of day where we can enjoy discounted drinks and food. Everyone loves a deal, but quality matters to KC Magazine readers as well.
Among a tough crowd of competition, La Bodega won out for its happy hour offerings of select savory Spanish tapas at half-price, sangrias that quench thirst and a lively social scene in its arts-inspired modern locations on Southwest Boulevard and in Leawood’s Town Center Crossing.
When that magic hour arrives, head to La Bodega for roasted red peppers, goat cheese and a fig coulis on grilled bread; skewered chicken and chorizo with garlic and lemon sauce and sautéed squid in olive oil, garlic and lemon sauce. labodegakc.com
