Kansas City’s Influential Women: Kim Bartalos

Kim Bartalos, Vice President of Retail Leasing, Block Real Estate Services

Credentialing is critical to today’s professionals. So when Kim Bartalos obtained her Certified Leasing Specialist certification through the International Council of Shopping Centers after months of study and a grueling test, she was thrilled to share her knowledge with clients.

With more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience, Bartalos completed 67 real estate transactions in 2013 alone. Since joining Block Real Estate Services in 2008, Bartalos earned the 2009 Highest Volume Retail award from the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors, achieving the second highest in 2010 and 2011 and the third highest in 2012. She was presented with the CoStar Power Broker award for retail leasing in 2010, 2011 and 2012 having ranked among the market’s top brokers based on transaction volume. She launched her real estate career with Sight Commercial Realty and later moved to Copaken White & Blitt, where she was honored with its Associate of the Year award in 2003.

Bartalos has devoted many hours to the volunteer community, including the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation, Heart of America Council Boy Scout Troop 188, Calvary Lutheran Church and its school, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
