Brian Anderson is one of the top dogs at one of KC’s top companies for good reason.
Ten years ago, when Brian Anderson joined Shawnee-based Perceptive Software Inc. as a software engineer, he made a good impression on his boss. He was quickly promoted to principal architect and development manager. After holding the position for five years, the 35-year-old Kansas City native decided it was time to move on. But the good impression Anderson made on his boss all those years ago kept him on the company radar. In 2012, he rejoined the firm as vice president of product development and was, again, quickly promoted. This time, he was awarded the role of chief technology officer.
Perceptive’s focus is to understand how the technology industry can provide services to individuals, healthcare organizations and governments. Anderson describes his role as developing “strategy and direction around software products.” As Perceptive has grown mostly by acquisition over the last couple of years and now covers four continents, the company will continue to count on Anderson’s guiding light.
