“Hard work and intensity” are the terms best used to describe 36-year-old Kelly Hancox, and she has the resume to back it up.
Starting her career at Sprint, Hancox transitioned from roles in product marketing and product management to product development and business development. But “it’s not about a position title,” she asserts. In each of these roles, Hancox says she’s truly proud of the contributions made by her and the teams involved.
Five years ago, Hancox jumped over to another Kansas City-based global company, Garmin, and now serves as manager of its global engineering business development team. The GPS navigation giant works with tech partners in various industries including auto, marine, outdoor and fitness. Hancox’s plan is to continue the company’s growth trajectory by making “positive impacts on Garmin.”
Hancox makes a positive impact on the community through her volunteer work with the Junior League of Kansas City. As a member of the organization’s board of directors, she served as director of marketing and was responsible for coordinating volunteers and resources.
