KaMara White wears many hats and that’s just how she likes it.
When asked what her position as quality improvement manager at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics entails, KaMara White pauses, and after a moment of reflection, the 32-year-old boils it down by saying, “I’m called on to do lots of different things.”
Specifically, White monitors and measures various elements of the organization’s activities. Having worked at Children’s Mercy for nearly a decade and earning regular promotions, it’s no wonder White is called upon to complete a multitude of tasks.
When she’s not working at the hospital, White works in the community as a volunteer. She’s a mentor for 20 young women focused on their education and careers. Ensuring these ladies have access to all the resources they need to be successful, White “gives tirelessly to organizations that support the development of youth and young women,” her Rising Stars nomination states.
“I really enjoy it,” White admits.
