Scott Tucker | A History-Making Racing Career

Scott Tucker’s story…

… Is sometimes referred to as “one in a million” by racing fans and racing professionals alike. For those who aren’t familiar with his history-making racing career, you may be surprised to learn that Scott Tucker has only been in the sport of racing since 2006 and that he’s travelled the globe breaking records and earning wins. It’s a story that sounds more like a Hollywood movie pitch than what you’d expect to read about in the daily newspapers. But it’s all true.

Kansas City native, owner of Level 5 Motorsports, businessman, and champion racecar driver Scott Tucker has racked up an impressive list of wins in his six-year racing career. Since 2006, when he first entered the Ferrari Challenge Series as a rookie, Scott Tucker has added more than 100 podium finishes, 70 victories, and 5 national championships to his racing résumé.

Seemingly unstoppable, Scott Tucker gets better by the year – adding more challenges, records, and trips to the winner’s podium than the year before.

In 2010, Scott Tucker and his elite racing team, Level 5 Motorsports, placed third overall at the 24 Hours of Daytona – during which a film crew documented their every effort to make a victorious showing in what many consider to be “the biggest race in the world.” A documentary called Daytona Dream was released that same year and went on to travel the film festival circuit, win awards, and receive a primetime television debut on the Discovery Channel. Then, during the 2011 American Le Mans Series Season, Scott Tucker finished first at the Petit Le Mans, Modspace Mazda Raceway, the Time Warner Cable race at Road America, the Grand Prix of Long Beach, and the 12 Hours of Sebring. And in the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, Scott Tucker also finished first at the Petit Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Win after win, 2011 was one of Scott Tucker’s most successful racing seasons.

So far in 2012, Scott Tucker has already captured two out of three championship events at the prestigious Sports Car Club of America’s (SCCA) National Championship Runoffs. Scott Tucker and Level 5 Motorsports came to the 49th Annual SCCA Runoffs near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin to win. They began their weekend by running a qualifying lap that eclipsed a 56-year-old record for fastest lap in an SCCA event at Road America (one of the greatest race tracks in the world). Scott Tucker and his team then took top honors in the D Sports Racer (DSR) class race. Not satisfied with a history-making lap and his first win of the weekend, Scott Tucker went on to earn another SCCA National Championship for the weekend (his career fifth) in a race against some of the most sophisticated vehicles in the sports car racing world.
