Two months later, I've officially had ENOUGH with the strike. YES, I understand the cause. YES, I voted for it in February. YES, I support the movement. But I'm getting sick of staying home all day like an unemployed bum. I'm currently being a selfish little brat who just wanna go back to school. I'm supposed to graduate this semester, so technically, it doesn't really matter when I finish the semester since I'm not going back to school in August. For other college students who are returning, how logical is it for them to be in school all summer, thus not being able to work to afford that following semester?

I know I'm being an hypocrite right now but I just wish the government would order students to go back while continuing negotiations with students associations. Even if I know deep down that if we return to school, the government will have even less fucks to give.

But yo. Can a chick go to school and finish her studies?!

To everyone saying that Twitter, for example, is not real life and shouldn't be taken seriously: YOU ARE WRONG. Before Facebook and Twitter, I was just a girl with many prejudices against everyone who didn't fit into my criteria. I used to consider them as being "lower" than me. I was not raised in the most open environment. Even when I got to college, I hung out with people similar to me. That was until I got to a french college.  Before that time I started to get more active online, especially on Twitter. Discussing with different types of people I didn't have the opportunity to talk offline. Seeing other opinion made me realize many things and made me think beyond the bubble I was in. I've known people who've healed and made some great friends thanks to that site. And even built a business. I don't even think I would be the person I am today if it wasn't for it.

So instead of saying that Twitter and all social networks are not real, unfollow all the parody, celebrity and fake comedians accounts and the people you know offline. Follow complete strangers and read what they are saying. Oh, and make a terrorist threat also, when the authorities will knock on your door, tell them you're not real.

STOP PUTTING YOUR LIFE ONLINE. Seriously, I'm a shit talker. I love to talk shit about anything. I rarely hold my tongue. Anybody who follows me on Twitter knows this. If you really cared about what people were saying about you, you would be more careful about what you post online about your life. Many of you seem to be unaware of how public the web is. We are in 2011... Almost in 2012.

Oh and another thing related to that. Don't complain about being stalked when you check in on Foursquare everytime you leave your house.

"If you don't want people to talk shit about you, don't give them the means to do it" - KC

In a Facebook group very popular among some Montrealers, someone asked:

"Someone you know does fraud on your name and the cops call. What do you ".

I always thought that this would be common sense to simply collaborate with the cops to save yourself. To my surprise some people think differently. You know, the people who agree with the saying "No snitching" and the many variations of that. To answer the question, it was said that they would only snitch IF the person who did the fraud didn't pay them. Let me get this straight, there are some people in this world who would get arrested and/or get a criminal record and/or do jail time for a few bucks.

How in the entire hell do you accept someone to pay u to use your identity to fraud other people? Why are some people so hungry for money no matter what the consequences are?

Someone should pay me to understand the thought process of some humans.

I've gotten used to always being the only female in my classes since Fall 2010. I don't even mind being in a domain where the penis is the majority. I believe that no matter the domain, competence doesn't depend on one's gender. I've never thought that I would be a victim of such judgement IN THE CLASSROOM. Aren't we all there to learn? I thought so... Until my teacher decided to say that females were not as soon as men at programming.

BITCH WHAT?!

He obviously forgot that I was in his class since I'm always super quiet. He then proceeded to say a bunch of shit to redeem himself. And of course, many of my other male classmates approved, laughed and added their smart ass comment.

The saddest thing is that I have higher grades than many of the men in my class. While they all help each other out and study together, I always choose to stay on my own. And I'm still killing it (in some classes).

So.....

So, Hema-Quebec is sending a notice to Hemaphobia.com for stealing their concept. From what I understand, Hemaphobia.com is using Hema-Quebec's concept to go after the Canadian Standards Association, the federal institution in charge of blood donation. On the other hand, Hema-Quebec is ready to loosen up (a start at least) the rules regarding the gays BUT can't because blood donation is a federal jurisdiction.

First, why going after an organization who wants, somewhat, the same things as you?

Second, if Hema-Quebec REALLY wanted to loosen up the rules, they would FIGHT with CSA to make these changes. Right now, Hema-Quebec simply submitted, in 2009, "a request to amend the criteria applied to men who have had sexual relations with other men"

Come on Hema-Quebec.... It's only a concept on which neither of you are making money out of anyways.
